Three charter schools could open in West Virginia by next school year. West Virginia Academy, Eastern Panhandle Preparatory Academy and Nitro Preparatory Academy were approved this week by the Professional Charter School Board. Nitro’s charter school will be in the old high school, which was most recently King’s Way Christian Church. The Nitro school hopes to enroll 200 students in its first year, and up to 600 at full capacity.
