Gov. Justice proposing raise for state workers

Governor Justice is proposing a five-percent pay increase and one-time bonuses for state workers. Justice says the money will come from a surplus in the state’s general revenue fund. The raises and bonuses still must be approved by the state legislature. The governor plans to make an announcement next week on how the remaining 120-million-dollars in CARES Act money will be spent. The state has until the end of the year to spend the money, or lose ten-percent of the funding.
