Thomas Health announced Wednesday that it plans to reopen the emergency department at Saint Francis Hospital. The hospital’s emergency department was converted to an urgent care clinic in 2016, but officials said the community’s needs have since changed. Thomas Health aims to help heal the strain on area emergency departments and will open up its ER space at Saint Francis open in early 2022. Its hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
