The main library branch at Charleston Town Center will close today (Jan. 31) in preparation for the reopening of the main library on Capitol Street in May. The mall location is expected to reopen in March as the Mall Branch Library. A $32 million renovation project has been underway at the main downtown library. Library officials have said the old downtown building is being transformed into a very modern facility that will include a lot of new technology information.
