West Virginia is inching closer to a record number of people in the hospital with COVID. The state is reporting 980 hospitalizations today, and the record is just over a thousand. That was set in September at the peak of the delta wave. Health officials say we still haven’t seen the peak of the omicron variant in West Virginia.
