Demolition of the old Sears building at Charleston Town Center is stalled. The contractor says he’s ready to tear down the building, and has had a contract of the job for three years. The mall’s new owners are at odds with the Sears building’s owner over how to safely demolish the building. There are plans to build a new hotel on the property, once the building is torn down.
