Fayette County, which already has received an economic shot in the arm with the designation of the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, will have a new 10-year comprehensive plan. The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority is developing the plan with community input that will guide future growth and development opportunities. Elements of the new plan will include land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, public services, recreation, economic development, community design, renewal and/or redevelopment, financing and historic preservation.
