‘Irate Parent’ Allegedly Accosts a School Bus

A woman was charged last week in Randolph County after deputies said she blocked a school bus and harassed the driver and children aboard. Kathryn A. Adams is accused of driving past a stopped school bus in an “aggressive manner” in the Glenmore area of Elkins before blocking the bus and getting out of her vehicle, according to a news release from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Adams parked sideways in the road to prevent the bus from passing and then approached it cursing and screaming, scaring the driver and children on board. Officials at Randolph County Schools described Adams as an irate parent. Adams was charged with harassment and reckless driving.
