Marshall Will Require Masks When Classes Resume

Marshall University will test all on-campus students at the start of the semester for COVID-19 – regardless of vaccination status – and masks will be required in all university buildings. The school opened Monday, Jan. 3 and the policy became effective then. Classes resume Jan. 10. Mask wearing will be required for students during class and iInstructors can choose to teach either while wearing a mask or while standing behind the plexiglass barrier in the classroom. Classes will remain at full capacity and on a normal schedule. Meanwhile, Marshall has a dashboard that tracks COVID-19 data at the school. Data shows 67.6% of students have been vaccinated, while 88.9% of employees have been vaccinated.
