More payroll problems…State threatens to sue

The State Auditor’s Office will once again have to manually input 37-thousand state employees information before they can get paid. UKG, the private company that administers the state’s time and leave system, still hasn’t corrected the impact from a recent ransomeware attack. The attack impacted 140 state agencies. The state has put UKG on notice that it plans to sue if the company doesn’t reimburse West Virginia for damages, including hundreds of hours state personnel spent manually entering payroll information.
