Highways officials confirmed two roads in Boone County were blocked Monday morning by mudslides. Prenter Road/Route 5 was blocked by a mudslide, according to officials at the state Division of Highways’ Boone County headquarters. Crews had previously cleared Prenter Road/Route 5 after a slide two weeks ago, but another slide has blocked the road. The road is closed, and officials advised drivers traveling through that area are at their own risk. A mudslide also closed Newport Road in Danville.
