The winter storm warning covering much of the Kanawha Valley runs through this morning, and brings as much as 8 inches of snow. Counties in the warning area include Kanawha, Clay, Logan, Boone, Putnam, and Cabell counties in West Virginia, and parts of Ohio and Kentucky as well. If you have to travel today, make sure your car’s gas tank is at least half full, make sure tire pressure is adequate, and have an emergency kit packed that includes blankets, snacks, a flashlight, and first aid kit just in case.
