A Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge denied bond for a Charleston woman accused of killing another woman last summer. Virginia Marie Smith is charged with first-degree murder for the death of Cheyenne Johnson after Johnson’s body was found deep inside a well last May in the Sissonville area. Michael Wayne Smith, who deputies previously said had been in a short-term relationship with Virginia Smith, is also facing a first-degree murder charge in the case. He is at the Southwestern Regional Jail, awaiting trial.
