The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating after a man awakened and fired a shot at a neighbor he found inside his house. Metro 911 said the shooting was reported about 6:40 a.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Strawberry Road in the West Side area outside of St. Albans. The man fired one time, but he missed, according to Sgt. Ana Pile, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. Pile said deputies located the man at a nearby property who had reportedly been inside his neighbor’s house and detained him. Pile said a sledgehammer was located near the front door of the home that was allegedly broken into.
