Basketball Tournaments Mean Revenue for Charleston

The boys and girls West Virginia State Basketball Tournament brings in millions in revenue to the city of Charleston. The Charleston Visitors Bureau projected that the two weeks of competition brings in about $10 million to the city through hotels, shopping, dining, and buying gas — all the things you do in a city for several days, so these are a big two weeks for our city. The boys basketball tournament runs through this weekend.
