Elkview Teen is Moved to Adult Prison

A teen who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role in the murders of four members of an Elkview family has been moved from a juvenile facility to one for adult offenders. 18-year old Rebecca Walker was moved to Lakin Correctional Center and Jail on Friday to continuing serving her sentence for four counts of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and the deaths of Daniel Dale Long, 37, Risa Mae Saunders, 39, Gage Ripley, 12, and Jameson Long, 3, who were shot to death in their home on Cemetery Hill Drive in December 2020. Walker helped her then-boyfriend hide out and elude authorities after they said he killed four members of his family. Gavin Smith is facing four counts of first-degree murder.
