A federal grand jury handed down new charges dating back to 2019 in a child pornography investigation against a former counselor at Pinch Elementary School in Kanawha County. The third superseding indictment alleges Todd Roatsey of Elkview knowingly distributed or attempted to distribute child pornography in October 2019, possessed images or videos in October 2021 and is accused of destroying a Snapchat account allegedly used to commit the crimes in October 2021, according to federal court records. Four new counts bring the total to 13 against the former counselor. Roatsey is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
