Health officials in Cabell County said the COVID-19 vaccine center at the Huntington Mall will be closing on Saturday. The Cabell-Huntington Health Department said it is closing the vaccine center, which has been in operation since March 2021, as it adjusts its resources to better serve the community, according to a news release. The health department said more than 1,000 vaccines were administered per day at the center at its peak. Vaccination efforts will continue through local pharmacies and health care providers, also the Cabell-Huntington Health Department, and Marshall University Student Center.
