Huntington Police Rescue a Person Who Threatened to Jump from a Bridge

Huntington police said they were able to persuade a person not to jump off the Sixth Street Bridge Monday. The department said in a news release that first responders arrived at the bridge about noon Monday and discovered a person had climbed to the outside railing of the bridge and was threatening to jump. The Huntington Fire Department also deployed a rescue boat. Police were able to persuade the person to step back onto the inside railing of the bridge and no one was injured.
