Mingo County deputies said a man faces multiple charges after he threatened a woman, destroyed items at a home and then flushed drugs down the toilet when officers arrived. Norman Lester of Gilbert was taken into custody Monday after an incident at a home, according to a criminal complaint filed in Mingo County Magistrate Court. Deputies said the suspect was hiding in a bathroom when they arrived, and destroyed drugs by placing them in the toilet. Drug paraphernalia was found in his back pocket. Lester was charged with domestic assault, two counts of obstruction and destruction of property. He is currently being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.
