Town Center Library Branch to Re-Open Tuesday

The Kanawha County Public Library said it is reopening its Charleston Town Center location as a branch with limited services while renovations to the main branch are completed. The Town Center location will reopen on Tuesday, March 15 as an “express library,” and the location will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. You’ll have access to a limited selection of books, public computers and WiFi, as well as be able to renew and return books and pick up holds. The library moved its main branch into the Town Center in 2020 while major renovations at its original downtown location were completed. The main library’s reopening has been pushed back to May 9. Once completed, the renovated library will offer 20,000 square feet of new space and a number of modern features.
