The state will offer more options for WIC families affected by a recall of powered infant formula. The program will offer Similac, Enfamil, and Gerber products as well as some private label brands to help combat the formula shortage. The Department of Agriculture and the CDC are investigating four complaints of sick babies related to products from an Abbott Nutrition facility in Michigan. Abbott issued a voluntary recall of powdered infant formula from Similac, Alimentum and EleCare.
