A longtime member of the South Charleston Police Department passed away this week. Ralph “Bubba” Schoolcraft passed away at his home last week at the age of 63, according to the police department. He began his career with the police department in 1984 and served for more than 24 years before retiring with a rank of sergeant in 2008. After returning from the South Charleston Police Department, Schoolcraft worked for about 10 more years as a Kanawha County Parks officer.
