West Virginia fire marshals are investigating after a man’s body was found inside a home in Mason County that was the scene of a fire. Mason Volunteer Fire Department Chief Howard Wood said crews responded about 5:20 a.m. Tuesday to a house fire in the 100 block of Dogwood Lane. Wood said the body of a man was found inside the home. No one else was in the home. The chief said the woman who lives at the home was in the hospital. State fire marshals are investigating.
