Cabell County Schools Announce Suspensions for Staff

Cabell County school officials said three employees have been suspended. De Morrow-Perry, the principal at Huntington East Middle School, will be suspended from June 22-June 24. Eyewitness News. Students said Perry called all girls to an assembly where she told them if they wore inappropriate clothes and someone touched them inappropriately, she would not listen to them. The school system spokesperson said no action has been taken related to the dress code assembly. Two other suspensions also were approved by the Cabell County school board. Dan Gleason, the principal at Huntington High School, will be suspended June 3, June 10 and June 17, and Becky Nibert, a teacher at Huntington High School, was suspended June 1 and June 3. No details about the specific reasons for all three suspensions were given.
