Charleston police said a juvenile petition was signed against a student for battery on a school official after the student struck a bus driver in the head multiple times in the head with a school-issued iPad. The incident happened Tuesday afternoon on York Avenue following a disturbance on the bus between two students,. Lt. Tony Hazelett said a medic was called to the scene and treated the driver. Police are reviewing school bus video for any possible other charges.
