A man who killed a man in Charleston after an argument over methamphetamine was sentenced to the maximum 15 years in prison on Monday. 31-year old Beau Hodge of Clendenin previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the death of Charles “CJ” Thaxton of Charleston. The shooting happened in April 2021 on Stuart Street. Police said Hodge fled the scene and was found several hours later after he wrecked a truck he was driving on North Pink Road in Elkview.
