Clendenin Man is Sentenced For a 2021 Murder in Charleston

A man who killed a man in Charleston after an argument over methamphetamine was sentenced to the maximum 15 years in prison on Monday. 31-year old Beau Hodge of Clendenin previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the death of Charles ā€œCJā€ Thaxton of Charleston. The shooting happened in April 2021 on Stuart Street. Police said Hodge fled the scene and was found several hours later after he wrecked a truck he was driving on North Pink Road in Elkview.
