Court appearances in the eastern panhandle continue as cases churn through the justice system following the January arrests of eight suspects facing more than 200 poaching-related charges. It’s all connected to the alleged illegal poaching of 27 antlered deer in Mineral, Grant and Hampshire counties. WCHS TV reported two Mineral County sheriff’s deputies are among those accused of spotlighting deer. They have resigned from their positions with the department. The defendants will return to Keyser on May 16th as the court proceedings continue.
