This month, the Division of Highways will work with the newly-formed pedestrian safety task force at Marshall University to conduct a road safety audit of 3rd Avenue that cuts through campus. This comes after a student was hit and killed and a professor was hit and injured last year. Marshall are also working on their own ideas about addressing campus safety.Dr. James Bryce has been serving as the co-chair of the new pedestrian safety task force made up of professors and community members. Dr. Bryce says they will be helping out with the audit as the DOH will walk and drive the area.
