Kanawha County residents will have an opportunity to complete spring cleaning projects this weekend. The Kanawha County Commission announced a free cleanup for Elkview and Clendenin areas will take place Saturday, April 9 at the former Herbert Hoover parking lot from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items accepted include solid waste, large appliances, televisions and tires. Recyclables such as computers, metals, batteries and electronics are also accepted. Items NOT accepted at the event include gas or propane tanks, paint, chemicals, motor oil, and hazardous waste.
