Ribbons were cut Friday as The Step By Step organization hosted the grand opening of the West Side Family Resource Center. The Charleston community will now have access to everyday items just around the corner. WCHS TV said the building was once used as a convenience store and will now hold items like toothbrushes, detergent, baby items and more. The West Side Family Resource Center will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and volunteers are welcome.
