Police Investigate the Theft of Football Equipment in St. Albans

St. Albans Police are investigating after football equipment was stolen from a storage building at McKinley Middle School. WCHS TV said about 40 helmets were missing, along with a public address system, shoulder pads and some cheer uniforms. A GoFundMe account has been set up with a $6,500 goal, but it will likely cost more than that to replace what was stolen. St. Albans police were able to recover a broken lock at the scene, and said the last time they checked on the storage units was about a month ago, so it’s tough to pinpoint when the theft happened. The helmets are youth sized and matte black with shiny red dragons on both sides. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call St. Albans police.
