Polls Are Open Today for West Virginia’s Primary Election

West Virginia voters go to the polls today to make choices in the primary election. Voters will make their primary picks in West Virginia U.S. House of Representatives races in District 1 and District 2, 17 seats in the state Senate, all 100 state House of Delegates seats and county and municipal seats. In one of the most hotly contested primary races, the Republican contest for the newly redrawn U.S. House of Representatives District 2 includes incumbent Rep. David McKinley and incumbent Rep. Alex Mooney among the candidates. Other Republicans in that District 2 race are Susan Buchser-Lochocki, Rhonda Hercules and Mike Seckman. Democrats facing off in District 2 are Angela Dwyer and Barry Wendell. Polls are open today from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm.
