Hundreds of homes in Roane County are without water service after road work damaged lines near Walton, West Virginia. Roane County Commissioner Andy Corkrean reported water lines servicing about 400 homes were affected after road crews worked to repair slips along Route 119 south of Ambler Ridge Road. The Walton PSD is developing a temporary solution to the problem, but a long-term fix will require working with the West Virginia Division of Highways. No timeline on the restoration of water services for area residents has been released.
