Cabell County Sheriff Chuck Zerkle said two people have been charged in connection with a dead body found at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington Tuesday morning. Zerkle said Huntington police officers and Cabell County deputies were dispatched to St. Mary’s at 6:15 a.m. after a car had arrived with a dead body wrapped in carpet. The body was identified as 43-year old Eric Williams of Spencer. The body has been sent to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Zerkle said Josh Daniels, of Salt Rock, and Ryan Fitzsimmons, of Hurricane, drove Williams’ body to the hospital. They both have been charged with concealment of a dead body and are currently in the Western Regional Jail.
