Pools in Charleston are open for the summer. All pools opened Saturday for the first since 2017, according to a news release. Charleston Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin said pools provide 55 summer jobs – including lifeguards, pool managers, and concession workers. Hours vary, but pools at the Kanawha City Community Center, North Charleston Recreation Center, Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, and Cato Park are open now. Admission is free.
