Commercial Vehicle Compliance Check Turns Up Many Violations

West Virginia Public Service Commission transportation officials found more than 440 vehicle violations and placed more than 60 vehicles and 16 drivers out of service during a road check of commercial trucks and buses. State officials said the inspections were conducted during the recent International Roadcheck 2022. PSC officials said in a news release that officers conducted 487 inspections of commercial vehicles. Officers discovered nearly 200 driver violations. International Roadcheck is an annual event that runs for 72 consecutive hours when law enforcement officers inspect commercial vehicles and drivers throughout North America, including the United States, Mexico and Canada.
