A Boone County man is facing charges for allegedly firing a rifle in the direction of children. A man parked near a trailer at Pond Fork Road next to the Van Community Park in Boone County recorded a video that showed 63-year old William Toath cursing and screaming about the man and his granddaughters allegedly stealing from his trailer. Several gunshots were heard and the video shows Toath firing a rifle down a ditch where the man’s granddaughters were playing in the Pond Fork River, according to the criminal complaint. Toath is being charged with wanton endangerment, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and possession of methamphetamine.
