Organizers of the Community Culinary Showcase announced this year’s participants for the cooking demonstration. Seven local chefs and artisans will join for a night of creating diverse dishes at the Charleston Convention Center. Money raised from the event will provide scholarship dollars for students attending Carver Career Center’s culinary program. Chefs from Ichiban Pan Asian, The Lookout, Karubees Jamaican Restaurant, Coal River Coffee, Phat Daddy’s on Da Tracks, and Rock City will participate. The Community Culinary Showcase is set for 5:30, Aug. 4 at the Charleston Convention Center.
