State Officials Send Condolences After Logan County Helicopter Crash

State leaders reacted after a helicopter crash Wednesday in Logan County killed six people aboard. The accident happened along Route 17 near Kelly Hollow. The roadway in that area has been closed since then and is expected to remain closed for an extended period of time. West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice said Wednesday night that he and first lady Cathy Justice are praying for the families of those involved. U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va, said he is prepared to provide whatever support those in Logan County need. U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va and U.S. Rep. Carol Miller, R-W.Va both said they’re praying for the victims and their families. The NTSB and FAA are investigating the cause of the crash.
