Charleston police said a suspect in a fatal downtown Charleston shooting who was arrested in Florida is now back in West Virginia. 23-year old Meeko Harris of Beckley was arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court Friday evening. Harris is charged with murder and wanton endangerment in the death of 27-year old James Daugherty who suffered gunshot wounds in a parking lot at Hale Street and Kanawha Boulevard June 4. Daugherty later died from his injuries at an area hospital. Harris was arrested in Osceola, Florida on June 10th.
