A Charleston woman has been indicted by a Kanawha County grand jury in connection with a fatal house fire. 49-year old Patricia Kay White was indicted last week on murder and first-degree arson charges. The charges stem from the death of Dennis Rutledge of Charleston who died in February after he was found unconscious on the second floor of a residence in the 5200 block of MacCorkle Avenue SE in Kanawha City. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Court records said an employee at Ivy’s, located in the 5600 block of MacCorkle Avenue in Charleston, said White told her she had been in an argument with her husband and had set a house on fire.
