U.S. Capitol Police Officer Caroline Edwards was one of the first witnesses in the January 6th Committee hears this week in Washington. She described being sprayed in the face with an irritant by West Virginia resident George Tanios. His name wasn’t mentioned in the hearing. Tanios has pleaded not guilty and is out of jail while preparing for trial in October.
