Hardesty Named State Board of Education President

A former lawmaker and member of the Logan County Board of Education has been selected as the president of the West Virginia Board of Education. Board member Paul Hardesty was unanimously elected by members for the position during the board’s monthly meeting this week. Hardesty succeeds Miller Hall, the previous board president who served two years. Board member Nancy White was elected vice president of the state board. Hardesty has a 30-year career of public service on both the county and state levels and was appointed to the state Board of Education in December 2021.
