A Huntington woman was charged Wednesday with child abuse resulting in injury after a video allegedly showed her striking a child. Court records said 28-year old Staci Lynn Burgy is accused of jumping into the air and striking a child that was sitting in a chair last week in Huntington. Investigators said Burgy can be heard in the video saying “This is ‘Jackass.’ This is kick a kid” prior to the alleged incident, according to the complaint. The video also allegedly shows the child with bruising on its side believed to be from the incident. Burgy is currently being held on a $50,000 cash only bond.
