Kanawha County Commission Files Complaint Over Frontier Repair Delays

The Kanawha County Commission filed a formal complaint against Frontier Communications after some residents in the county said they’ve been without internet and phone service for nearly a month. In the complaint, the commission requested that the West Virginia Public Service Commission open an investigation after some residents in the Quick and Ben’s Fork areas reported being without service for nearly 30 days. The commission said in the letter that this is a complete failure on behalf of Frontier and the elays in making the necessary repairs have created a serious public health and public safety situation. Commissioners asked the Public Service Commission to require Frontier to complete repairs and credit the customers for their days without service. The county commission also called for an audit of Frontier regarding the alleged delay in repairs. More than 20 residents in the area said they lost service after a severe storm on June 17.
