Neighbors Upset Over Weeks-Long Service Outage

On June 17th, a severe storm struck Clendenin, knocking out internet and phone service provided by Frontier. Residents on Laurel Fork Road are still without service 22 days later. Pastor David Lucas is one of more than 20 households without phone service or internet. Lucas told Eyewitness News that without service, he can’t even pick up the phone to contact 911 in case of an emergency. When asked if Frontier had been out to examine the problem, Lucas indicated workers dropped off supplies but never returned. The Kanawha County Commission stated that Frontier is “actively dealing with the situation and will stay on top of the situation until it is corrected.”
