Probable monkeypox case awaiting confirmation from CDC

A probable case of monkeypox in Kanawha County is still under review. The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department has determined the sample is likely monkeypox, but is still waiting for final confirmation from the CDC. West Virginia has over two-hundred doses of monkeypox vaccine, and those doses are reserved for people who have come in contact with someone with a confirmed case of the virus.
