Turnpike traffic slower than expected

The typical eleven-day turnpike busy season was not quite as busy this year. Between June 30th and July 10th is when the West Virginia Parkways Authority sees the most traffic in the summer. This year was expected to be busy because the 4th of July fell on a Monday. But even in a down year, more than one-point-three million vehicles traveled a portion of the 88-mile West Virginia Turnpike.
